What would be the results of doing 100 reps per exercise every other day?
Rough example:
100 military presses in total with say five sets of 20, 100 curls in total with five sets.
One day rest.
100 reps of pullovers in five sets of 20, 100 reps of flyes in five sets of 20
Would this lead to overtraining? Also, with a medium weight, would it lead to hypertrophy? Any help appreciated.
this is an actual exercise. and very effective. Instead of doing sets of 20, use a weight light enough, but not to light, and do a single set of 100. If you need to rest, at say 70, then the remaining number of reps is the amount of time (in seconds) you should rest before completing the set. Mix up the exercises too. Do like, flat bench, then right into a back exercise. Then back to a chest exercise. etc.
This is a great exercise to do for a full week or 2 and then go back into your normal routine. Its to shock your muscles and body and will help you get bigger/cut as well as stronger
Day one, chest/back
day two, biceps/triceps
day 3 rest
day 4 shoulders
day 5 legs/traps
try that for 2 weeks. it works, and its a great work out
