What makes some people love outdoor basketball?
I played outdoor basketball for three summers, 4days per week. Probably about 95% of people who play outdoor basketball, play outdoor basketball once per summer. I know someone who is 35years and has been playing outdoor basketball at the same basketball court for ten years. He played 8years of basketball in high school and college. I know someone else is is in his fourties and he has been playing outdoor basketball ever since he was a toddler. On Sunday, he always plays outdoor basketball. What makes some people love playing outdoor basketball?
It’s a passion for the game that every baller enjoys. Some start earlier than others but B-Ball is a very flexible game where you can play indoors at a gym or outdoors at parks or schools. You can organize BBQ and outdoor events or parties centered around basketball (which I’ll be attending today). There is no age limit to when you can start playing or when you should stop playing, which is also the beauty of it. I don’t think I can ever give up hoops, at least until I can’t run no more. If you keep yourself fairly in shape, you should be able to play the sport for a good segment of your life.
Your skills and experience won’t go away, even though they may get a bit rusty if you take a break from the game for awhile. B-Ball is a sport you can enjoy with friends and close ones. It’s not as slow pace as baseball and it’s not as injury prone as football. You may experience a sprain ankle or leg cramps here and there but it’s not something that can’t be prevented or will hinder you long term if you take the right precaution to protect yourself. Just my 2 cents.
